The Chippy Jumps is aptly named - located opposite the Gnosall Fish Bar on a section of the former railway line.

With support from the late Cllr Roger Kelly, the site was leased from Staffs County Council in 2010 and developed into a mountain-bike course – designed and maintained by local Gnosall teenagers.

Confirmation has been given to Gnosall Parish Council that their request for Section 106 funding was approved by Stafford Borough Council’s Cabinet meeting in November 2016 and will be used to make significant enhancements to the Boardwalk on the Acres open space and create a new play area on the Chippy Jumps.

Contractors for both the Chippy Jumps and Boardwalk have been appointed.   Work on the Chippy Jumps started in December (and completion is subject to weather conditions) and will include several items of play equipment including a 25m zip wire.  Work on the boardwalk is likely to start in the spring of 2017.
